* Although the Sheriff claimed 17 female officers in their written response, they have since admitted that three of the females they included have not yet graduated from the academy. This means the Sheriff's Department has only 14 sworn female law enforcement officers.

** Sonoma and Windsor use Sheriff's deputies on their police forces. So the figures for Windsor and Sonoma are a subset of the overall Sheriff's statistics
