Petition to the Mayors, City Council Members, and Board of Supervisors of Sonoma County

e, the undersigned , call on you to immediately create independent civilian review boards to oversee the Police, Sheriff, and District Attorney in Sonoma County. These review boards must have full subpoena power, and must focus on both individual cases and system-wide problems of violence against women, excessive use of force, and discrimination in employment and in the community. All members of these review boards must be completely independent of law enforcement ties.
